How to Convert Followers into Hotel Guests

Do you want to convert your social media followers into guest.

Doesnt’ matter if we are talking about Facebook, Instagram, Youtube or TikTok.

There are some principles that you need to follow is you don’t want to waste your hotel money and resources.

Tip #1: Be clear and consistent about your hotel message

We see so many hotels (small & also big) not defining what is their USP(Unique Selling Point). This is crucial to show potential guests why they should stay with you.

We are talking about what is the type of experience you can provide not just what rooms. You need to make sure they are clear about who you are and what can you do to improve their travel experience.

Shine like a star in their mind.

Tips #2: Engagement is king

Doesn’t matter how many followers you have… It really doesn’t matter. Your priority should be how you can increase the engagement of your community.

Remember the power of social media relies on putting people with similar interests together at a very low cost. So make sure you are keeping them engaged so your brand is in their mind constantly.

Two things you can do to increase engagement is

  1. Make people create content that is related to your hotel. Chose a topic related to your brand. For example, let’s say you are a luxury hotel then talk about luxury items and create discussion around them. Is not about promotions and offers. People want to be inspired and educated
  2. Collaborate with travel influencers about every destination that your guests might like around your hotel.

Tip #3: Understand the power of landing pages

Landing pages are usually simple pages that are designed for specific offers, promotions, or to sign up into lists. The power of landing pages is that people are not distracted by all the different options like on a website. Landing pages have usually one call to action(CTA).

Tip #4: Be mobile first

We don’t need to explain how crucial is this topic but in many hotels is not considered a priority. This is the deal. People are using their mobile and most social media channels are consumed on mobile devices so having to click on a link that is not optimized for a mobile experience is wasting your social media marketing budget.

If you don’t have the resources for a big transformation of your website or booking engine then use alternatives like landing pages just for the traffic coming from social media.
